To ensure the success and smooth execution of this ambitious European cross-sectoral initiative, the project is guided by a robust, multilayered governance structure. At its core is the General Assembly, the project’s main decision-making body responsible for key legal and strategic decisions. Scientific progress is driven by dedicated Work Package Leaders, each overseeing specific research and innovation activities. The Project Coordinator ensures overall alignment, acting as the central point of contact with the European Commission. An External Advisory Board contributes strategic oversight and a broader vision, helping to strengthen the project’s direction and impact. Together, this governance model fosters transparency, accountability, and excellence across all levels of the project.
Since its official launch on 1 April 2025, the project has already reached several management milestones. The successful kick-off meeting brought together all partners to align on objectives and lay the foundation for collaboration. To support smooth day-to-day coordination, a dedicated Project Manager has been hired, reinforcing the management structure. The project also completed its first review meeting with the European Commission, marking a critical step in the evaluation progress. Looking ahead, the next major milestone will be the Annual Network Meeting, set to take place in Valencia.
