Towards Real-Time Oncology
We are working to identify potential breast biomarkers in sweat and designing the first wearable wireless passive sensing platform for breast cancer therapeutic response monitoring.
SWEATPATCH is a Horizon-EIC-2023 European pathfinder open project (No 101130618) which aims at developing and clinically test, a disruptive wearable and remotely quereyable passive patch that will enable real-time monitoring of the therapeutic response in breast cancer patients through the analysis of selected relevant VOCs biomarkers originating from the evaporation of sweat on skin.
SWEATPATCH involves 10 partners, including 6 research establishments and institutes, 2 university hospitals and 2 industrial partners from 5 European countries. Leading experts in chemistry, materials, micro-nano-technologies, sensors, data processing, biology and translational/clinical oncology work together in a resolutely interdisciplinary approach.
